Dreams, Goals...Plans?
Goals and dreams go nowhere without a plan. That's what I've been learning and working on this year. There are things I want to accomplish, places I want to get, certain achievements I want to reach for myself. One of the biggest of these is wanting to become a published author. I know, big surprise from me, haha!
But do you know how hard it is? It's real freakin' difficult. I didn't know where to start, at the beginning of all this. I've only recently (in the last year or two) even figured out what I should be doing. Having a game plan is great, but if you never act on it, it doesn't take you anywhere. But I've been working with my aunt to keep myself going. Since we settled on that arrangement, I've written a lot more, sent my first book to an editor, and actually reached out to a friend about designing the cover art for when the book is closer to being published. Oh, and I've looked at publishers and made a short list of places to actually send my book.
However, it is always helpful to have a check in with my aunt so that I stay accountable to myself and her. It also helps me figure out what to focus on, because one thing at a time is better than trying to do fifty at once...as I've learned. So! All that being said, I had a productive and encouraging check in recently, and I've got lots to work on so that I can share it with you all mid October! <3
*Also, don't worry, the car was off and there was no way for the Little One to get up to any harmful shenanagins.*
