Vivienne, A Teaholic

I love tea! That's one of the first things people learn about me: I love tea, dragons, and books. I swear, if someone accidentally cut me, I'd bleed more tea than blood.

One of my more recent yearly rituals related to spending the summer as a pirate at ren faires happens to involve tea. One of my first faires, I found a booth, Spice Traders Teas, that sold various teas and spices, and I happened to try one called "Tortuga Truffle." Cut to three years later, the people at that booth go to several faires, and they know my by sight. In August, I buy obscene amounts of Tortuga Truffle, and drink almost nothing else.

Besides this particularly lovely, chocolatey black tea, I also love me some "Geronimo" from Tea & Absinthe, and Hazelnut Vanilla from Everything Tea. *Insert massive heart eyes* Now, when can I plan a tea party?

  1. My last order of tea from Mountain Rose Herbs was two pounds of three different black tea blends. Since it arrived near the end of August, I have used about half-a-pound. That doesn't include the other blends from other companies. I'll drink at least the equivalent of a 12 cup coffee maker pot of tea myself in a day.

To say that tea is my life blood is an understatement.

  2. If you are ever in Olympia, check out Encore Teas on 5th Street. Huge selection of awesome and exotic blends. My favorite is a licorice blend.
